- Change of carbon paper for copies of #3 on Mac… check
- Loads of copies of my Jack Calder crime thrillers to ‘accidentally’ leave lying around in railway stations, bus termini, airport lounges… check
- Three felt tip ‘signing pens’ to assuage the baying public’s lusting for author-signed books… check
- Several pieces of paper carrying the name of my Agent, lest I forget it (as if!)… check
- Several other pieces of paper carrying my own name, lest I forget it (highly possible)… check
- Two alarm clocks to ensure I’m awake in plenty of time to meet author/reader/web pals in Manchester… check
- The same two alarm clocks, to ring in Gaelic, to ensure I’m awake in plenty of time to meet author/reader/web pals in Glasgow… check

And there’s another reason to smile at Scotland.
Sounds a great deal like Colorado and the Rocky Mountains. There’s been snowfall in the mts. in the past few days, but in the plains – it’s a much warmer story.
